Who we are
Mubo's Place is operated by Peace Haven Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria (RC [number]), at [registered address]. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Peace Haven Ltd. We decide how your personal information is used, which makes us its controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need for these purposes.
Our legal basis
We use your information because it is needed to provide the stay you booked (performance of a contract), because we have a legitimate interest in keeping guests and the property safe, or because you have agreed to it, for example to receive news as a Friend of Mubo's Place. You can withdraw your agreement at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run your stay, and only what each one needs:
- Paystack, to process payments and refunds
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website and stores our records securely
- Meta (WhatsApp), if you choose to receive messages there
- [Email provider], which sends our booking emails
- Tuya, the maker of our smart lock, which issues your door code
We may also share information if the law requires it. If you booked through Airbnb or Booking.com, their own privacy policies also apply to the information you gave them.
Where it is stored
Some of our providers store information on servers outside Nigeria. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires to keep it protected.

How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it, every account is protected with two-factor authentication, ID documents are stored privately, and our records are backed up. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these steps seriously, and we will tell you and the authorities promptly if a breach affects your information.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where we don't need to keep it by law
- stop using it for news or other purposes you agreed to
- send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
Write to home@mubos.co and we will respond within the time the law allows. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell Friends of Mubo's Place by email.
